ADULT PROGRAM
While the Program focuses on the building blocks and basic principles of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, the GB² Program is built on high-level techniques and drills. These advanced practices shape students’ game flow by enhancing reflexes, speed, and reaction time, facilitating smooth transitions between techniques.
After a few months in the GB² Program, students typically experience a deeper involvement in GB’s philosophy. They also develop a stronger bond with training partners and cultivate more discipline and commitment to healthy habits that keep them in good shape.
The GB² Program provides a foundation in high-level Jiu-Jitsu techniques and drills, helping students refine their skills and enhance their overall performance.
ADULT PROGRAM
The GB2 program in Gracie Barra is the second level of their adult curriculum. Gracie Barra’s structured approach guides students from white to black belt, focusing on fundamentals and strategy in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
GB2 builds upon GB1 basics, introducing advanced techniques and positional sparring. Gracie Barra’s systematic curriculum ensures a comprehensive BJJ understanding.
The program includes complex submissions, sweeps, and transitions, enhancing students’ skills and proficiency.
ADVANCED PROGRAM
The Gracie Barra Black Belt Program is the ultimate stage in GB’s adult program structure, representing the culmination of a student’s journey while also signifying a new chapter.
Here, the goal is to refine the student’s Jiu-Jitsu game flow by immersing them in cutting-edge techniques and their variations. The dynamic curriculum offers diverse classes, complemented by hour-long live training sessions, creating a challenging yet safe space for students transitioning from blue to black belts.
In addition to technical skills, the program emphasizes mental fortitude and strategic thinking, preparing students for the demands of high-level Jiu-Jitsu competition and real-life self-defense scenarios.
Upon completion, students not only earn their coveted black belt but also gain a deeper understanding of Jiu-Jitsu philosophy, a stronger sense of community, and the confidence to excel both on and off the mats.
ADVANCED PROGRAM
In the GB3 program, practitioners typically delve deeper into advanced techniques, refine their positional awareness, and start to develop a more personalized game plan tailored to their strengths and preferences. This level may focus on refining timing, precision, and strategy in executing techniques.
The curriculum at this stage may include a wider range of techniques, including advanced submissions, complex transitions, and more intricate guard passing and control methods. Additionally, students in the GB3 program may engage in more live sparring sessions, allowing them to test their skills in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Overall, the GB3 program in Gracie Barra aims to further elevate students’ understanding and proficiency in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, preparing them for higher levels of competition or simply deepening their enjoyment and mastery of the art.

We have been part of the Gracie Barra community for over 12 years and part of the GB Mckinney and Little Elm family since 2021. Both are exceptional academies that are great for families, hobbyists and competitors alike, I cannot recommend either location more.Posted on Google Alex MartinTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great gym! I have thoroughly enjoyed the jiu jitsu journey at Gracie Barra!Posted on Google Chris RDVTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My two kids (ages 11 and 8) and I (50) have been training BJJ under Professor Inacio Neto and his team for three years, and I can’t recommend this gym highly enough. The facility is impeccably clean, and the culture is genuinely welcoming — it’s a place for everyone. Beyond the incredible benefits of learning BJJ, this gym brings the community together in a way that’s rare to find. The classes follow a proven methodology that helps students learn effectively and stay safe. Each class focuses on specific technical training, followed by optional full sparring. That structure gives students real flexibility — you can train hard or ease into things at your own pace, which is especially valuable for newer students intimidated by sparring or anyone needing extra recovery time. It lets you train smart. The flexible schedule also makes it easy to find class times that fit real life. Inacio and his team of professors are the heart of it all. This is the kind of place you keep coming back to — for the BJJ and for the people.Posted on Google Nathan McGowanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve been training at Gracie Barra McKinney for almost 3 years, and over time I’ve also gotten my kids involved and it’s been one of the best decisions we’ve made. Because of that experience, I have zero doubt that the new Little Elm location is going to be just as incredible. What makes this school special is the culture. It’s welcoming, disciplined, and focused on helping everyone improve, whether you’re brand new or experienced. The instruction is top-tier and surprisingly personal for such a large academy. You’re not just another face in the room. The staff is world-class, led by Professor Inacio Neto, with a deep bench of black belt instructors and advanced students. What stands out even more is that everyone, coaches and students alike, are great training partners who genuinely want to help each other grow. If you’re new to jiu-jitsu, one thing you’ll quickly realize is that not all schools are the same. I feel fortunate that we landed here. Ultimately jiu-jitsu is a journey about your own progress and the longer you stick with it the bigger the gap becomes between the person who walked in for a trial class and the person you are now. Excited to see Little Elm open and looking forward to cross-training there soon!Posted on Google Mark CrockettTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. World class Jiu Jitsu team led by a world champion instructor. Professor Inacio Neto runs an exceptionally effective school with classes for all ages and skill levels. Inacio has high standards and drives the team towards excellence, beginning with his own commitment to the sport, his training, and success of his students. The same is true of every one of his staff. Here are some takeaways from my 3 years of training at GB McKinney: - Curriculum and structure promote a high level of respect for the GB team, staff, school, facility, and self - Effective, engaging instruction - Knowledgeable, patient, friendly instructors - Highly respectful training partners - Easy-going social atmosphere among training partners and instructors - Clean facility (mats cleaned thrice daily) - Classes offered at all times of the day and week to accommodate various schedulesPosted on Google Nico MaldonadoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have been training at the Gracie Barra McKinney location for the last 2 years and my daughter has been training for the last 4 years. There are so many positive things to say about the gym, community and professors. The facility is consistently clean and organized. The professors have a special way of making complex concepts and movements simple for even the most novice individuals to understand. The community is phenomenal. The people that train are positive, upbeat, and always willing to provide coaching and encouragement. My daughter started out at 5 years old. Over the last four years her strength and confidence have grown tremendously. As a parent, you always want to find a safe space for your child to grow and learn. The professors and coaches have helped to cultivate that safe space for children of all levels to succeed in improving confidence, discipline, or overall physical wellbeing.Posted on Google Janis JassoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
